Fraud alert – translation project availability

Quickfox Publishing has been made aware that fraudulent emails are currently being sent to freelance translators and editors, falsely claiming to be from our company.

These scam emails are being sent from the Gmail address hrmmoniqueadriana@gmail.com, signed by a person calling themselves “Mrs. Monique Adriana Botha”. This is not a legitimate communication from Quickfox Publishing. Also bear in mind that the name of the person and email address could change from the one mentioned here in the email you receive.

Key points to note:

• Quickfox Publishing does not recruit translators or editors through unsolicited emails.
• We do not use free Gmail addresses for official company communication.
• All legitimate recruitment or project enquiries from Quickfox Publishing will come from an official @quickfox.co.za email address.

What you should do if you receive one of these emails:

• Do not reply to the email.
• Do not send any personal information, rates, or documents.
• You are welcome to forward the email to us for verification.

If you are unsure whether an email you received is genuine, please contact us directly before responding.

We are taking this matter seriously and appreciate the translators who have already brought this to our attention.
